Professional
Dr. Charlie Bullock has been involved in issues of disability and health throughout his career. He has taught undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses on general disability issues, disability policy, and is developed a course for the University of Nevada, Reno, MPH program on disability epidemiology. He has published, presented, and consulted extensively in the area of preventing secondary conditions and promoting health of people with disabilities.
He was funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to study social support among people with paralysis. He came to the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1996 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he had been on faculty for 17 years. In 1999, Dr. Bullock coordinated the development of a Master of Public Health program at the University of Nevada, Reno, the only such program in Nevada.
Currently, Dr. Charlie Bullock has been appointed Dean of the College of Health and Human Sciences.
Personal
Dr. Bullock enjoys skiing, hiking, and exploring the intermountain west region. He enjoys reading and scuba diving on annual jaunts to remote islands in the Caribbean.
