Welcome to the University of Nevada, Reno, College of Health and Human Sciences in Reno, Nevada. 

Reno, Nevada is located in the northern area of the state, very near to many beautiful outdoor towns and bustling cities.  Reno hosts a multitude of community events throughout the year, as well as does Nevada's capital city, Carson City.  Near to Reno is Lake Tahoe.  There are more than 25 ski resorts in the mountains surrounding Lake Tahoe, which also hosts events sunshine or snow!

University Resources

Additionally, the University of Nevada, Reno, coordinates events around campus and at the Lawlor Events Center on campus. Students can enjoy free movies on the lawn hosted by ASUN in the summer as well as the University orchestra or jazz ensemble through the Performing Arts Series.  A brand new student library, Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center is under construction, and a brand new student union, Joe Crowley Student Union recently opened in 2007.  These will conveniently be located in the center of campus, next to two parking garages, the Lawlor Events Center, and the Lombardi Recreation Center.
