Upon completion of the Nurse Educator Track the graduate is able to:
- Provide advanced nursing education services for multi-cultural and ethnic students, individuals, families and populations.
- Demonstrate ethical professional behaviors in helping-trusting relationships with aggregates, clients, patients, students, staff and colleagues in the education setting.
- Collaborate with other professionals, members of the community, and students to provide educational services related to optimal health care for individuals, families, special populations, and communities with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention.
- Respect diversity and address complex health care needs of the person, including the un-served and under-served populations and communities, in the role of nurse educator.
- Using a broad understanding of relevant social issues, integrate the philosophy and mission of a school of nursing or an agency into the development and evaluation of nursing curricula and educational programs.
- Participate knowledgeably in the development, implementation, revision, and evaluation of nursing and health education programs to ensure quality education services in health care.
- Participate in the development of nursing education as a science, through the use of education and nursing theories, research, and scientific processes.
- Recognize the need for continuing education at the doctoral level for nurse educator roles.
