And, you may be interested to know that things are happening at the School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno! In the last year, we have teamed up with the Department of Nutrition and the Sanford Center for Aging to offer new areas of specializations within our Master of Public Health degree in addition to our existing programs in child, family, and lifespan health; public health leadership; health ethics, administration and policy; social and behavioral health and epidemiology. The School of Community Health Sciences has also teamed up with the Orvis School of Nursing to develop a combined MPH and Master of Science in Nursing degree. Much growth is occurring at our school but one thing remains the same: Our commitment to providing the best quality education to prepare future leaders in public health in Nevada and our world.

Since offering the MPH degree in 2000, we have had 43 students successfully complete the program. They have gone on to positions at universities, hospitals, state, and county health departments, and into PhD programs and medical school.

We are very proud of our faculty, staff, and especially our students. It is an exciting time to study at UNR. Our state faces many public health challenges and we welcome you to join us in making a difference.
