Survey of health/social policy making, including current and future trends. Emphasis of legislation related to disease prevention, health promotion and health care.

Interest areas include health and safety regulations, policy process, tobacco control, medication safety, government, politics of science and scientific standards, executive branch agencies, qualitative research, administration and management.
