The School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Reno offers the following graduate programs: Master of Public Health (MPH), a combined Master of Public Health and Master of Science in Nursing (MPH/MSN).

The update on our doctoral programs: due to the current economic climate in the State of Nevada, the Ph.D. in Environmental Health and Dr.P.H. in Social and Behavioral Health approvals have been put on hold until greater clarity of the next two year budget cycle is completed in spring 2009. At that point we will have more information.

However, if you are interested in beginning your M.P.H., all M.P.H courses will eventually transfer to our doctoral program (pending approval) allowing you to attain an MPH and your doctoral degree as well.

If you already have a MPH but would like to start taking courses toward the doctoral degree (pending approval), you may register as a “Graduate Special” student through the Graduate school. You are then allowed to take 9 units without being officially in a program.
