Building a Healthy Nevada

Building a Healthy Nevada is a faculty driven framework that addresses Nevada’s most pressing social/health needs.   Through research, teaching, and outreach efforts, the College of Health and Human Sciences currently focuses on addressing five (out of nine) elements towards building a healthy society.  The five elements of a healthy society that the faculty prioritized include physical health, social well-being, behavioral health, public safety, and resourceful communities. Facilitating interdisciplinary research within the college and university and collaboration with external community agencies and government are key components of this initiative.
