Above Photo: Annelise Orleck, professor of history at Dartmouth College presenting her book, Storming Caesar's Palace: How Black Mothers in Nevada Fought Their Own War on Poverty. She spoke to an overflow crowd at the Jot Travis Student Union with attendees from many campus departments, community social service agencies and many social work students and faculty. She graciously autographed copies of her book, and posed for pictures, including this one with School faculty and presentation organizers, Drs. Susan Chandler, and Jill Jones.
Awards
Mary Hylton, Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work, was a runner up winner of the F. Donald Tibbitts Distinguished Teacher Award this year. Dean Bullock presented Mary with a $2,500 check from the University during her class on Monday, April 9, 2007. Mary was also the winner of the CHHS teaching award.
