Advisement

It is important for social work students to meet with their academic advisor once during each semester. Pre-major students should contact Laurie Beck for an advisement appointment at laurieb@unr.edu or (775) 682-7503. Major students can find out who their advisor is by contacting the School of Social Work directly at socialwork@unr.edu or (775) 784-6542.

For more advisement contact information, please visit the Advisor Directory.

Core Curriculum

Students must complete a minimum of 128 credits for the undergraduate major. All University students must meet the requirements of the University Core Curriculum (39-41 credits) and the specific requirements of their major. Social Work students are required to take 51 credits of specified required courses. Credits beyond the University Core and the major requirements are considered electives.

Requirements and Licensure Information
